The law firm of Angara  Abello Concepcion Regala and Cruz (ACCRALAW) was a major sponsor of the 6th  Annual Asia-Pacific In-House Counsel Summit,  which was recently held at the Hotel Intercontinental Hong Kong.  This is the event highlight of the year for corporate counsel in the region.  The Summit provided valuable insights for regulators and business leaders in the Asia-Pacific.

With the effects of the global credit crunch being felt across Asia-Pacific, it is significant for in-house counsel to be aware of the most important issues affecting their business.  The Summit provided a forum in which the region’s leading practitioners discussed and debated the key issues and recent trends in key jurisdictions.  Leading law firms practicing in China, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Hongkong, and Korea presented updates of developments in their respective jurisdictions.

ACCRALAW, representing the Philippines, conducted the Philippines Workshop. ACCRALAW Managing Partner, Atty. Eusebio V. Tan, was the main speaker, with a panel of ACCRALAW experts in  various practice areas: Atty. Tadeo F. Hilado, Senior Partner and Head - Corporate and Special Projects Department; Atty. Emerico O. de Guzman, Senior Partner and Head-Labor and Employment Department; Atty. Alex Ferdinand S. Fider, Partner and Head Intellectual Property Department; Atty. Ruby Rose J. Atty. Alex Ferdinand S. Fider was a panelist for the Intellectual Property Panel Session, while Atty. Patricia-Ann T. Prodigalidad was part of the Panel Session on “How to Survive the Downturn.”
