Since its inception in 1996, the Davao Branch of ACCRALAW has been paving inroads all over
Mindanao to make the Firm’s wealth of experience and expertise available and accessible to the southernmost regions of the country. ACCRALAW Davao opened its offices at an auspicious and opportune time: As Davao City is right at the active core of the Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines (BIMP)-East ASEAN Growth Area (EAGA), the Firm’s legal services and expertise were brought within easy and immediate reach of local and foreign business corporations and industries, and corporate and individual entrepreneurs, whose needs have expanded, and continue to expand, along with their local and international ventures. At present, the Office is housed in its own suites at the Pryce Tower, Pryce Business Park.

It was only a matter of time when the ACCRALAW Davao team of lawyers’ multidisciplinary expertise and experience were soon brought to the fore. As the Firm’s lawyers at the Davao Office have maintained proficiency and excellence in all areas of law practice, they have been retained by Filipino and foreign clients for such special legal work as joint ventures, variegated multilateral agreements/contracts, legal audits, due diligence work and a multitude of other specialized corporate projects; litigation involving agrarian reform, land, corporate, commercial, civil, criminal, torts, family, mining, banking, telecommunications, public utilities and special laws; labor and industrial relations including collective bargaining agreements and compliance with labor standards laws; advisory and advocacy work involving tax laws; the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights; settlement of estates and estate planning; and immigration work.

Civic, business and professional organizations, too, have sought out such services and expertise. Among these organizations are the Integrated Bar of the Philippines-Davao City Chapter, the University of the Philippines Alumni Association (UPAA), the University of the Philippines-Mindanao Foundation, Inc.; the Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCCII); the Personnel Managers Association of the Philippines (PMAP), the Rotary Club, and other groups.

State-of-the-art computer linkages and telecommunications facilities make the experience, expertise and resources of the Firm’s Head Office and Cebu Office immediately accessible and available to complement those of ACCRALAW Davao’s lawyers.

The first supervising partner of the Davao Office was Romulo A. Espaldon Jr., now a senior partner of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department / ACCRALAW Head Office. At present, ACCCRALAW Davao is under the stewardship of Resident Partners Enrique M.O. Diola and Glenn C. Aquino.
